Ashes scattering

We understand that Ha’penny Pier holds fond memories for many people and it’s a popular location for scattering ashes.

The pier is privately owned by Harwich Haven Authority and used by members of the public. Scattering ashes from our pontoons is strictly prohibited.

If you would like to scatter a loved ones ashes, please give us a call – 01255 252310 – and we will try our best to accommodate your wishes.

Memorials

We know that Ha’penny Pier is a special place for many people, but we cannot support the erection of memorials to departed loved ones in any shape or form on the Pier. If memorials are erected, they will be removed.
