We are excited to bring Nigel Clark (singer of Indie band Dodgy) to Harwich as part of this years annual festival.

Although Established in his own right as a successful solo artist, you may know him from his work with 90s Indie band Dodgy. The band had many chart hits including ‘Good Enough’, ‘Staying Out for the Summer’ and ‘In a Room’ to name a few.

Support comes from Colchester Singer Songwriter Rosalind Harniess.

Harwich Secret Gardens 2022

Harwich Secret Gardens 2022 will take place over the usual 2-days of the weekend, Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd July 2022.

Hidden gardens and courtyards open. All the gardens are easily reachable on foot.

Teas and coffee will be provided at St Nicholas church, and there are plenty of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants for refreshment.
Profits shared between local good causes.
Cost
Tickets £5.00 will gain entry into all of the gardens – accompanied children free. Brochures have full garden details and a map showing places to eat.
How to get event passports:
Entry brochures will be available from the Halfpenny Pier visitors centre, St. Nicholas church and Deli 141 in Dovercourt High Street on the day and will be available a few weeks before the event.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the meeting and we’ll do our best to answer as many as we can on the night.

How to get involved…
  • Create a 2D or 3D artwork along the Essex and Suffolk coastline and estuaries
  • Use materials that you find on the beach
  • Take a photo of your artwork and tag us using #HavenLife. Don’t forget to share your location.
  • Everyone welcome to take part.

Bring the family down to Ha’penny Pier, Harwich on Thursday 11 August, between 11am – 1pm for a morning of eco-crabbing…
We’ll be sharing lots of clawsome tips for responsible crabbing and unveiling our new crabby signage.
The first 100 children (under 16 years old) to come and see us on the Pier will be given an eco-friendly plastic free crab line.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Don’t forget to bring a crabbing bucket and bait.
