POSTPONED: New date TBC
After very careful consideration, we have taken the sad decision to postpone this year’s Maritime Festival, which was due to take place on 8 August 2020, to a yet to be confirmed date in 2021.
It is not a decision we have taken lightly as the event was part of the national Mayflower 2020 celebrations and an occasion many visitors and local residents look forward to each year. However, at this very uncertain time we believe that postponing the event is the best course of action.
Many of our partners, suppliers, traders and members of the local community have already put lots of hard work into organising this year’s event and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them all.
We hope to be able to welcome everyone back to the festival in 2021.
Thank you

Intarsia is an emerging duo of performers from diverse backgrounds. Jo May and Sarah Matthews have worked together since 2018, combining voice, violin, viola, octave fiddle, tenor guitar, balafon and a whole range of other percussion instruments. The sounds of these wooden instruments blend to create intricate delivery of original and traditional material inspired by English songs, European dance tunes, West African rhythms and more.
