Pipe Deployment Trimley Island – River Orwell

Mariners are advised that marine operations involving the assembly and temporary deployment of a dredge material deposit pipe will be taking place in the Orwell, at Trimley Island as follows:

The dredger Deo Gloria will be undertaking deposit of dredge material via the floating pipe at Trimley Island.

On or around 18 September, two special buoys will be deployed in the river Orwell to mark the location of the floating pipe line.

Then on 20 September the floating pipe will be towed by multicat LEANNE P, from Copperas Bay (River Stour) to Trimley Island site (River Orwell).

Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance. The dredge material deposit pipe is expected to remain in position until approximately 2 November 2026.
