2026-07: Pilot Over Carriage Form

During Sunk or Haven Pilot Station closures / restrictions, departing vessels may request a pilot to over carry either to the next port or another Pilot Station outside the district. Over carriage of pilots is undertaken on a voluntary basis and sailing is subject to suitable forecast conditions and towage resources (if required) for departure.
Costs for the repatriation of pilots travelling outside of Harwich Haven Authority’s pilotage district are not included in the standard pilotage charge. Therefore, the vessel’s agent or master must complete a Pilot Over Carriage Form to verify that the necessary arrangements will be made for the pilot’s carriage onboard, return to the UK and to clarify the responsible parties. The completed form must be submitted to [email protected] in advance of the pilot booking confirmation.
