Seawall and Slipway construction
Works are to be conducted between 07 – 28 September 2026 by DRE Marines and Civils on the installation of piles via Vibro Piling at the Rose Cottages, River Stour Bankside at Shotley Gate.

These installations will be completed in the intertidal area, directly on the north bank of the River Stour in Erwarton Bay. Mariners should be aware that piles will be present and navigate with caution in this area. These works are one part of a series of works to install a new seawall and slipway at the Rose Cottages.
