Harwich Haven Authority is supporting a screening of a 50-minute film highlighting the impact of the climate and nature crisis.

The People’s Emergency Briefing is being screened for free at the Electric Palace Cinema in Harwich on Wednesday, September 23.

The documentary, presented by Chris Packham, explores the imminent implications of the climate and environmental crisis and its impact on health, the UK’s food supply and the economy.

While shining a light on the issue, it proposes positive ways to combat it, showing the huge benefits of seeking a greener future.

Linzi Jobber, Sustainability Manager at HHA, said: “This is an important documentary that helps us understand the scale of the climate and environmental challenges we face, and why action is needed.

“Maintaining and preserving the Haven and its unique environment is a responsibility we take very seriously, so this is a cause close to our hearts.

“We hope the screening encourages people to have open conversations about the challenges ahead, but also the positive solutions and actions we can take together to build a more resilient and sustainable future.”
