HHA announced as a finalist for ‘Employer of the Year’ at the Maritime UK Awards

Harwich Haven Authority is delighted to announce that it has been named as a finalist in the prestigious Maritime UK Awards 2025, in the highly competitive ‘Employer of the Year’ category.

The Maritime UK Awards provide an incredible opportunity to bring over 400 people together from across the UK to celebrate the achievements and success stories of this vital sector. These awards highlight the industry’s essential role in the UK economy, contributing £116 billion annually and supporting over 1.1 million jobs across shipping, ports, engineering, professional services, and leisure marine.

This year’s awards, taking place in Dover on Thursday 26 June, will have a particular focus on the importance of the seafarer and their dedication and commitment, which ensures that all four corners of the United Kingdom remain fed, fuelled, and supplied. The awards event will invite industry colleagues and government partners for a night of celebration, showcasing the incredible achievements and progress within the maritime sector

This nomination is a huge testament to the incredible efforts that HHA has made to build a supportive, inclusive, and engaging workplace. Employees across the Authority are proud to be recognised alongside some of the best in the industry.
