We are passionate about providing a world class service to our customers and we are looking to recruit a Vessel Traffic Services Officer to join our talented VTS team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Vessel Traffic Services Officer who is looking to work for one of the UK’s largest trust ports. With approx. 4,800 commercial vessel movements per year, including the world’s largest ships in operation, and 10,000+ leisure vessels using the Haven waters, this will be an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

This role will support the Vessel Traffic Service Duty Officer in facilitating the safe and efficient movement of vessels within the Harwich Vessel Traffic Service area, through the effective and timely monitoring and organisation of vessel traffic, including planning the allocation of Pilots and Pilot Launches to ensure traffic demands are met.

You will need to be an effective communicator and should be accustomed to working efficiently under pressure in challenging environments. This role also requires a high level of flexibility and a commitment to developing the skills needed to be able to operate a wide range of equipment.
