Salary £33,972 – £43,972 per annum depending on experience (allowances payable on completion of initial training)

We are looking to recruit a Marine Engineering Technician to join our busy Marine Engineering department on a permanent contract.

Reporting to the Marine Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing marine engineering and maintenance services that ensure the availability, compliance and upkeep of the organisation’s fleet.

The role involves undertaking routine planned maintenance and reactive repair duties on the Authority’s vessels, plant and equipment. You will also support with vessel refit duties and the overhaul and major repair of small to medium sized internal combustion engines. Experience of working in a marine maintenance environment would be an advantage, or you’ll have transferable skills from your current role. You should hold an HND, HNC, NVQ 3, City & Guilds or similar recognised qualification in a Mechanical Maintenance discipline (preferably Marine focused). You will need experience of planned maintenance regimes on marine or similar mechanical systems and diesel engines. 

A full UK Driving Licence is also required.
