You’ll work as part of a team that provides an all-encompassing and proactive service maintaining the Authority’s fleet of vessels in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
Your primary activities will include: working on marine engines, gearboxes and vessels’ stern gear – as well as ancillary equipment such as mechanical, hydraulic or electrical systems.
You will also conduct planned maintenance regimes and undertake vessel refits as well as maintaining non-marine industrial plant, structures, vehicles and equipment.
Video: Our Marine Engineering Manager Brian Hill provides an insight into the role the team plays within the Authority.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a marine engineering background with evidence of vessel refits and planned maintenance systems.
Most importantly we’re looking for a team player who is able to use their own initiative, has a flexible, can-do attitude and is reliable.
