Fuel and freshwater bunkering services, provided by an external contractor, are available around the clock.

We adhere to strict environmental regulations and procedures to reduce risk of pollution and to protect people working within these types of operation. Rigorous risk assessments are carried out and our oil spill response team is always prepared to deal with fuel spills in our 150-square-mile jurisdiction.

Safety

Procedures are in place cover ship to ship bunker transfer operations alongside berths at the Port of Felixstowe, Harwich International Port, Harwich Navyard, Mistley Quay and Trinity House Berths.

Bunker transfers between road tankers and vessels are the responsibility of the individual ports and berth operators, who will monitor the process, however we make random checks as part of our duty of care as required by the Dangerous Goods in Harbour Areas Regulations, 2016.
