This notice to mariners is promulgated for your information on behalf of Salvage Master M.V.
14 Day Notice to Fishermen for the removal of Fishing Pots/Creels/Traps/Nets/Buoys.
SURVEY & SALVAGE OPERATIONS In the Vicinity of the SUNK INNER Light Vessel AND APPROACHES in position latitude: 51°50,325’N longitude: 001°33,028’E on the shipwreck known as the Norhauk. Fishermen & Mariners are advised that on or about the 8th June 2017 the Salvage vessel SEAL SANDS will commence under water Salvage operations for approximately 60 days. It is kindly requested that all Fishing traps / pots / nets / creels / Dan buoys be removed prior to the 7th June 2017 and that that all vessels give as wide a berth as possible as the vessel has a 3 point mooring extending up to 500 metres.
Therefore, an exclusion zone of 600 metres is required. Detailed vessel movements can be obtained direct from the SEAL SANDS firstly by contact on VHF Channel 16 thence Channel 8. Lights and shapes as required by Collision Regulations will be exhibited and a listening watch on VHF Channel 16 & 71 will be maintained throughout the operation.
